MUSEUMS IN MONTECCHIO MAGGIORE
Collection of Museums in Montecchio Maggiore will enhance curiosity of the most experienced travelers.
You may start with local museum of natural sciences “G. Zannato” composed of twelve different rooms including classrooms, laboratories and offices. This museum remains main cultural reference point in the area thanks to its participation in teaching and research activities. Here you will find archaeological finds of the local territory ranging from prehistory to the Lombard era featuring a relevant collection of fossils and minerals.
Another point of reference for all interested in war history is local Museum of Armed Forces 1914-1945, founded by a group of history enthusiasts encouraging the knowledge of local armed forces.

This museum exhibits evidences from the period from the First Great War to the end of the Second witnessing the change in the lifestyle of local citizens who suffered the war. Museum G. Zannato is available for visits on Fridays from 9.00 to 12.30 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 15.00 to 18.30. Museum of the Armed Forces is open to the public free of charge only on Sundays from 9.00 to 12.00.
